About Our Preschool

DSC_0564.JPG

Edmonton Baptist Church Preschool was established in 1993 and took on charitable status in 2009.

The curriculum offered promotes Christian beliefs and is in line with the Government's Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. The Preschool welcomes children and families from all religious faiths, cultures and ethnic groups. We aim to create an inclusive environment where every child can reach their full potential.

We welcome children who have Special Educational Needs or Disabilities and we have built up a wealth of experience in this area.  We offer a bespoke curriculum especially tailored to meet their needs and learning styles.  We work closely with other professionals that may be involved with your child. We will support applications for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) as appropriate.

Please be aware that we have limited places for children with additional/special needs. Come and speak to the SENCO about your child's requirements.

Preschool Day

We operate from a very large church hall and have a purpose built outside play area /garden.  We offer a well resourced environment with age appropriate equipment

During the day we offer a wide range of activities, resources and equipment. Children are encouraged to have a go and access all the different opportunities available.  We offer a variety of both adult and child led activities.  We introduce new topics and themes to the children and encourage them to develop their own learning through exploration and play.

During the day, the children access both the indoor area and the garden.  We have story and circle times with songs and rhymes.  On different days, snacks are either served during circle time or at cafe time, when children are taught independence skills, such as pouring their own drink and tidying away after.

Our well established team consists of highly qualified staff including a Primary School Teacher and Level 3 Key persons, with many of our staff having over 15 years experience.
